The Prosecutor has asked for an extension of the time for filing charges in the case against the artist who is detained for suspected assault in Stockholm on 30 June 2019

If such a time-limit for filing charges is not sufficient, the Prosecutor may request the period to be extended. It is for the Court to decide whether the time-limit is to be extended.

Today, the Court has received a request from the Prosecutor to extend the time to bring charges in this case until 25 July, 2019. The Court has not yet decided if or when there will be a hearing, but it will provide more information on this as soon as possible (including information on when any hearings will take place). The intention is that any hearings should not start before 1 p.m. today.
